It's Fall!

Well, I think it's fall! The weather has finally cooled off. It 's been in the 70s and 80s for the last few weeks. We have also been getting some rain. . . finally!

I think that the most exciting reason I know it is fall is that high school football has started! We love going to the games and watching our teens play. We have several that are playing this year and a few are even on varsity. We are excited to begin making the rounds to all the games to watch the Friday night action!

Our garden is just about finished. Our squash and zucchinni were cut short when the bugs killed the plants, but we are still getting tomatoes and peppers. We have a couple of cantelope left and we have harvested one pumpkin and have two more that are almost ready! I think that over all we had a successful first year and we can't wait to finish out our boxes and plant a full garden next spring!

School has started for me and the girls. We have been in one week. We are at a new pre-school this year. Last year we were in a Mon/Wed program and the schedule was horrendous for us! Just too much going on in our family on those days! This year we are at a Tues/Thurs program and loving the schedule. I love having my Mondays to catch up from the weekend and prepare for the teens to come over for LifeLine.

Honey has also started another graduate class. He is beginning his last 12 hours. This time next year we will be starting our last semester of graduate school! YEA!

I am busy planning the girls' 3rd b-day party and the kids are busy planning their costumes for Halloween.

This morning we left EARLY and went to the balloon festival. It has been going on for a couple of years, but this is the first time we've gone. It was fun to watch all of the balloons get set up and lift off! The kids loved it! The picture is one of the family watching the balloons go up.

I really love this time of year and I hope you are having a great fall too!

HOW FUN!!!! I went to one of those in Abilene one year while in school there. I did not know there was one here! Ty would have loved that! I miss you and your girls at school this year! Seems like I don't ever get to see them!
