Walking

For the past month my habit has been to get out, on the mornings we don't have preschool, between 8:30 and 9:30 in the morning and walk for 30 minutes. During the first part of May, the mornings are very pleasant, though windy, and it worked out perfect for me because since it was cool, there wasn't much sweating going on during the exercise.

I don't particularly like sweating.

But, since The Preschool is out for the summer, I have begun a new habit. Every day except Sunday (because it's the Lord's day) I will get out in the mornings between 8:30 and 9:30 and walk for 30 minutes. I did this yesterday and today. And let me tell you, I'm a pretty fast learner because it only took me 2 days to notice that now that it is closer to June than April, it's not as cool in the mornings as it was when I started this little thing. In fact, it's not cool at all. And the wind that I've been complaining about? It has mercifully died down a few notches, but that leaves us with some very stale, muggy, not so morning fresh summer air. Girls, it's hot. Well hotter than I'd like it to be while I'm exercising, because I've been sweating.

Now, I know it's good for you to sweat while you're exercising. But in spite of that, this morning I've decided on a new habit. I'm going out between 6:30 and 7:00 to walk for 30 minutes. And I'm praying it's a little bit cooler. So the sweating is kept to a minimum.

Wow! You've been busy...and I dont mean just the walking (although I'm thoroughly impressed with you getting up that early in the SUMMER to go out - wow!).

I wasnt on the computer all of the three day weekend so I missed all your new posts! Ugh!

So here goes...CUTE preschool scrapbooks. What a great idea, but bless your heart for making 12 of them! Good thing you like to scrapbook.

Congrats on the "dark side." I'm so glad it's working out well and that you like it and that it's getting easier!

LOVE the recipe scrapbook too! So...I know you have those recipes stashed on MSWord...you gonna email them to me or what?

Good hearing from you again. I've been hearing the crickets chirping.

Oh and I did my first book review today...come on over and put your name in the hat for a giveaway (so I dont feel like such a loser having only one comment to draw from). Your other readers are more than welcome to come by and put their name in too!

Oh, you are so good. I long to have the inspiration to get up and walk before the humidity sets in because I hate sweating too. But alas, so far I am uninspired. Sigh.
