Out On The Town

My birthday was last weekend. Honey took off work last Friday to celebrate the big day.

As we were stretching before going for a walk/jog, the girls decided that we needed to go on a date...twin style. So they pulled out their kitchen, dishes, and plastic food. The hostess seated us on the living room floor for our picnic and took our order.

We tried to order fajitas, because I like Mexican food and it was my birthday date. But, the hostess said that the restaurant didn't serve that choice.

So then I tried Honey's favorite and ordered steak and a big, buttery roll (OK, the roll was for me). But that meal was a no-go as well.

Thinking it would be easier to find out what they did have, and order that, I asked what the specials were. And I was told . . . soup. So we ordered two bowls of soup.

Here's what we got: a bowl of soup, some iced tea, a couple of slices of orange, and a banana. Oh, and a dish the hostess called "chicken on the cob". It was very tasty and well cooked. I'll have to get the recipe some time.

That's really funny...that sounds like my house. They only seem to serve chicken at our restaurant. I've complained to the management several times, but management doesn't seem to understand the problem with this!! :)

Don't you just love it! One year for Christmas I got a crown...an empty diaper genie ring thing. I'm not sure what that says about me but hey, it's the thought that counts, right? We will miss these days, until we get to do it again with the grandkids! I hear that is the ultimate! Hope you had a fabulous birthday!

We also dine on similar things quite a bit around here, too. Making good memories!
