fourteen

Today is our 14th anniversary.  Nothing says old married couple like Honey going to work and the rest of us staying in to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks, Chipwrecked and Camp Rock 2 and nursing a kid with the flu.  We're glamorous.

Her blood sugar has been pretty easy to manage, though.  So there's that.

I also tried Jillian's 30 Day Shred, Workout #2.  It was hard, but I'm going to keep at it here and there and see if I can get better at it.

Actually, we celebrated Sunday night.  We went to see "Moonrise Kingdom" and then out to eat at the steak house we like when it's just the two of us.  It was such a nice evening, we went down to the neighborhood near the university and walked around.  We felt young again as we remembered the good old days of college.

Until we realized that we're closer to Bubba's good old days than we are our own.

That's when we decided it was time to go home.

You can go ahead and skip "Moonrise Kingdom" in case you were wondering.  I'm not sure I would even rent it at Redbox.  It wasn't awful or inappropriate, just boring.  Kind of like this blog post.

But now is where I say, I'm glad I walked down the aisle to meet Honey 14 years ago.  Despite the depression that is this post, I love our life.  I even love it on the days we're dealing with "the summer flu".

I love you Honey! The most boring day with you is better than the most exciting day without you.  Happy 14 years!

A couple of years ago I wrote about our wedding kiss.

For our 10th anniversary, I wrote about how we met and the winding road we traveled before we ended up together forever.

And if you want to read about a WAY more exciting time we went to the steak house for two, it's here.
