It's supposed to be 81 degrees where I live today. Not really holiday weather in my opinion. And just in case you haven't heard, I love the holiday season. But, it's not feeling very holiday-y here. So, I thought of something that would help us all get into the spirit of things.
It's a carnival!
Called Holiday Happenings!
Right here at Talking Hairdryer!
Soon!
Here's how it's going to work:
1. Copy and paste the code for the Holiday Happenings button into your sidebar to show others that you plan to participate and encourage them to do the same.
Here's the code you'll need:
<a href="http://talkinghairdryer.blogspot.com/2007/12/holiday-happenings-2007.html"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5134568675162695522" border="0" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU2Ai9rEKBp0K7NlWqXNWMwZbFPkkS8YlvmehQBZl1BQz1pqJoTLUejmkeHyJQnTEca3jOdTP7ikuzDS9sXzLDiUwQjvR1FtXLFFr-enJYipeAJy6Otky6APNjggu0dURL52sQ/s400/Holiday-Happenings-4.gif"/></a>
2. Write a blog post about your favorite Holiday Happening. It can be a memory from holidays past, a tradition that you've developed in your family, a craft you love, a yummy recipe that just screams Christmas . . . it can be just about anything! That is happening. In your family. At the Holidays. See? Holiday Happenings! (It's catchy, right?)
3. On December 3, post your happening on your blog. Then . . .
4. . . . come back here, to the Talking Hairdryer home page, and post a link (via Mr. Linky, of course) to your holiday happening post. (Don't worry, this part is easier than it sounds. I promise.)
5. If everyone adds their link here, all the links will be posted together making it easier to hop from blog to blog and read about everyone's Holiday Happenings.
It will be so much fun! I know you will be inspired to decorate your tree, or hang your Christmas lights, or make the trek to the mall to pick up a few gifts, or something after you've read about all of the special Holiday Happenings going on around blogland.
See you December 3!

And I'm so impressed with all your bloggy knowledge and neat-o stuff you put on here!
I even figured out how to put the button on my sidebar. How do ya like me now?! LOL!
Hey...is there a way to make it so that when someone clicks on the button on my page it takes them to your post about the Holiday Happenings?
Sorry, dont mean to start a riot or anything! Dont throw paper wads at me! I know it's tricky making those buttons turn out right...I did the same thing making one for the message board (you know, the one I havent checked in a looooong time). I think it took me a couple hours to do that one too! I havent attempted it again since then.
I thought it did! Thanks for letting me know. I changed the link, so delete your old button and try this one. Let me know if it works. Pretty please?
Great idea, girl! Aren't you so fun??
Okay, I am in. I think it will help me because I am having the same problem...the Christmas blah's.
Yay! It works now! :o)

I thought we had escaped from farther intrusion...but today, at the grandparents, Sweet Doll got sick too.) This holiday happenings sounds fun! I'm going to have to get into this bloggy thing! What is Mr. Linky?! Happy Thanksgiving! Love ya!
