Sick Day

I've been up since two this morning. Bubba woke up with stomach cramps about that time. I mothered him for a bit, and as I got him back to bed, Mary TuTu started frowing up. For about 3 hours.

After settling the other two in at their respective schools, and making sure my substitute at The Preschool was good to go, we are settled in here at home. I've just polished off cup of coffee #3 for the morning and not one cell in my body can sit still. I haven't had that much coffee all in one day in a LONG time.

Mary TuTu, by the way, seems to be fully recovered from her night-o-fun. She's asking if I could just go ahead and drop her off at school now that she's better. Since I have a sub, and the quiet, empty house seems to offer wonderful conditions for sleeping, I considered it for about 15 seconds. But I didn't take her. I told her that she had to rest at home today so she wouldn't give her germs to someone at school. I'm RESPONSIBLE.

Honey is out of town. He's hunting with his dad this weekend. He's been looking forward to this week for months. It's his guy trip for the year. Don't the kids always get sick when the husband is out of town?

The sweet wife in me wanted to just call him this morning and pretend that everything was fine and normal so he wouldn't worry and fret about all the frowing up. But when I talked to him on the way to school, the tired, exhausted wife took over and told him everything. He was as sympathetic as he could be from 400 miles away, and it did make me feel a little better.

Now I've just got to convince Mary TuTu that she needs a nap. It will probably take a little sweet talking, but I've got some time to kill. I figure it will take at least another hour to kick these caffine jitters.

Hey! You're back! Nothing like frowing up to get you back in the blogging mode. LOL

*sigh* yes...something always happens when the daddy is gone. Why is that?

richlyblessed,

I'm sorry to have hurt your feelings, but I don't know who you are. I checked your profile and it didn't give me any way to contact you or identify you, so I couldn't let you know my reasons behind deleting your comment.

I'm sure you're like me and want to keep your identity off of the internet as much as possible while still being a part of the blogging community.

I love comments and have rarely deleted them. I enjoy making new friends and renewing old friendships through this media. But I try very hard to keep personal information off of the www. Particularly our hometown, my husband and children's real names, and our lastname.

Your comment mentioned all three of those very personal pieces of information. That is the reason I deleted it. Anyone who reads the blog can read the comments, and I want to keep the information you mentioned private.

If you would like to discuss this further, please contact me via my e-mail address in the sidebar. By the information you alluded to in your comment, you know my family in "real life", so I would love the chance to visit with you about this in private.

Thanks for reading and keeping up with us.
