Oh, it's cold...for Texas. Right now it's 61 degrees, the wind is blowing, so it feels much colder, but not Jack Frost cold.
Non-winter weather isn't my favorite. When it's summer I want it to be hot, and when it's winter, I want it to be cold. The best thing about non-winter is the kids get to play outside. They all got new bikes for Christmas. Now, when Bubba rides, his knees don't go up to his ears.
Here's a picture of The Beautiful Bike Riders Club.
They are writing letters to each other and putting them in the basketball shoe box turned "mail box".
Brooke got a locket in the costume jewelry Mema gave her for Christmas. She wants her BBRC (we had to come up with a shorter name than The Beautiful Bike Riders Club) friends pictures to be in the locket. I better get right on that :)

Jack Frost doesn't really nip around here

I was thinking that (kind of; I love the warm!) today, when I went downtown jacket-free at the end of December. I don't think I'll ever stop being amazed by the warm weather in Texas.
I have to confess that I'm happy about the not-cold. When it's winter I want it to be warm, and when it's summer I want it to be, well, warm (so not happening in West Texas). I keep trying to tell the Mister we need to move to Hawaii. Blissful, temperate weather year-round. A perfect solution, don't you think? :)
In November, when we were in Phoenix, we were running around in flip flops and huge smiles because it was in the low sixties... Arizonans, however, were lacing up the snow boots and wrapping the scarves...
61 degrees... jack frost would die, you know.
