Progress

Today is dedicated to progress...however small the steps, continuing to move forward.
Loving...
on Mary Tutu. She's home with a cold. Between you and me, she probably could have made it to school today, but I think she's needing a bit of TLC. And, really, who can concentrate on subtraction with regrouping while they are coughing and sniffling all day?
Marking...
little annoying tasks off my to-do list.
Tire replaced - check
Appointments made - check
More time-consuming than normal light bulb changes - check
Eating...
this salad for lunch
Spinach, random veggies from the fridge, leftover grilled chicken, and this stuff...
Fighting...
a basal battle with Brooke's pump settings. I'm about to win...I think :) Today I feel like Diabetes picked the wrong mom to mess with. I am smarter and more stubborn than you, Diabetes.
Yesterday, I felt like I was very sleep-deprived and beating my head against the wall. After 6 days of going without, I caved had a Sonic Diet Dr. Pepper. And it was sooooo good ;)
Texting...
our awesome school nurse. She's keeping me updated on Brooke's lower, much improved morning blood sugars. Have I mentioned how AWESOME our school nurse is lately? She's the best.
Jumping...
back on the no Diet Dr. Pepper bandwagon.
Reading...
this book
by Gary Scheiner. Maybe some day Honey and I will take Brooke to visit his place.
Starting...
our Disney 2011 scrapbook.
Waiting...
for Honey to get home. He's been gone since Monday night. This year he got a promotion and it will require a bit more overnight travel but not a crazy amount. We still miss him when he's gone.

Progress is GOOD!!!!

We all need a little TLC sometimes... and what a help it must be for you to know the Nurse is there, during the day, when you can't be!

The salad looks so yummy..especially since I'm kinda hungry right now.

I keep jumping on and off the "quit drinking pop" bandwagon.
Sigh..the carbonation beckons everytime!

Yay for marking off stuff that needs done!

I keep thinking I should jump on the "no diet coke" bandwagon. But I just don't want to. :)

Would love to see your Disney album!

I think you are doing great...and kudos to continuing the quest to keep learning even more with each new day! Now, on the diet dr. pepper issues....I think you may have lost your mind! :) Give up something else, like, brussel sprouts! :) Or maybe it's just me, I have no willpower. ;)

I don't even want to know what subtraction with regrouping is. But I love that tartan plate!
