What are the chances...

that my 4th grade son will take a shower and brush his teeth every day he is at camp?

You can be honest. I can take it.

if choosing to hear the brutal honesty in word form:

~~chances are slim to none he will remember to brush and bathe daily, favoring more toward the side of none.

if you were wanting to know hard numerical facts in percentage form:

~chances are, with 99% clarity, he will miss a day or two of dental hygiene as well as body bathing.

You asked. I'm just reporting the facts. I have two boys. And furthermore, they don't even have to be at camp for me to be able to ascertain what will happen to yours. :)

My son went to a 6-night camp a few yrs back. He showered one time. He brushed his teeth on the fourth day because the counselors made everyone do it.

HA HA HA HA!

No one brushes teeth or showers at camp. LOL!

Good luck with that :)

Josh went to Space Camp in AL when he was in 4th grade. He came home with 6 clean underwear and 1 dirty pair. The car's going to smell good on the way home!!

hahha I remember the guy counselors having "cabin shower and brush time"! Sooo hopefully his counselor will pull out this trick at least once or twice! I mean, it is camp for heaven's sake.. who needs to smell good? Haa!

about as good as my pre-pubescent daughter did last year...

the fact that you question - answers the question. he will be lucky if he doesn't lose it on mon and then comes home with the majority of his clothes.

good luck!

but hey, you don't have to smell him or look at him; not your problem....

Only if you have been able to convince him (by the fear of God!!, that "creeps" will eat away every tooth in his head, then there's a 0.3% he will brush his teeth in some type of 'non-thought' fashion.

Showering--he might stick his feet in when he turns it on -- to make the counselors think he took one. I raised a boy and a girl, and when it comes to camp---they're about all the same.

Take it from a mother of two and grandmother of eight, girl, it ain't gonna' happen. But he will survive and have a great time doing it. You have a blessed evening!
