On my mind today...

• Today, I'm feeling more like myself. Just a stay at home mom of 3 school aged kids. No newborns. It's a good feeling.
• I think my change in attitude has a whole bunch to do with the fact that I took a 3 hour nap yesterday. I woke up in time to eat supper, watch the Oscars, and fall into bed at 10:30 ready to sleep again. I can't remember the last time I got to sleep on a Sunday afternoon.
• Wednesday I start a long term subbing job. I'll be working full time for the better part of 2 months. I'm kinda' excited. Would you do me a favor? About the second week of April remind me of how excited I am right now.
• I'm pretty sure that the job excitement has more to do with the fact that I get to buy some new work clothes, and less to do with making sure the 4th graders get some last minute TAKS reading passages finished.
• Saturday we finished basketball season. It feels good to have that one in the books. Baseball practices have already started and softball will start after spring break. But we have a couple of Saturdays off before baseball games are scheduled. We plan on enjoying them.
• I'm going to do our taxes today so I can get them turned in before I start work.
• I'm also going to cook a few things for the freezer so when I do start working I won't be tempted to eat out every night. Because two months of eating out isn't good for anybody. Maybe I'm in more of a newborn mindset than I thought.
• Bubba got in to CBH. We found out the weekend Brooke was in the hospital. It wasn't our first choice of sessions, but it's going to work out great. I'm just glad he's in. Whew! One down, two to go :)
• Honey went to a funeral this morning. One of his best friends lost his grandpa Friday night. He'd been sick, and it wasn't a surprise, but it's still hard. His friend was on the road last week and on his way back home he stopped in to visit with his grandpa. He had 5 hours of talking and sitting with him and I know those hours are a sweet memory now.
• So much sickness and tragedy this winter. It reminds me of last winter. I'm ready for Spring!
• We aren't planning on going out of town this spring break because we're going on a big vacation in November, and hospital bills, and maybe buying a new-to-us car, and Honey's work trip is in Hawaii this year and we might stay a few days extra...but I'm a little depressed that we aren't going ANYwhere this month...hmmm...
